Clare crushed Waterford with a 2-20 to 1-9 victory in Dungarvan this evening to reach back-to-back Munster senior football championship finals for the first time in 87 years.
The Banner men made an electric start and never looked back, running up a 0-11 to 0-4 lead before Emmet McMahon smashed their first goal to the net on 32 minutes.
Mark McInerney added a point that saw the visitors take in a 1-12 to 0-4 half-time lead and more points from Darragh Bohannon and Ciaran Downes would sail over after the turnaround.
Those scores were backed up by a McInerney goal in the 47th minute that put the game to bed for Mark Fitzgerald’s side, as Waterford grabbed what proved a consolation goal from Tom O’Connell a minute later.
Clare now get set to face four-in-a-row chasing Kerry in the southern province’s decider on May 5th.

Waterford 1.09 - 2.20 Clare.
Not be for Waterford, but a valiant effort for Paul Shankey's men at Fraher Field.
Beaten by the better team who advance to the Munster final.
