JonSmith,
The posters have not been slating the young lads, they've been questioning the management's calls and their choices to leave good players that would have made an impact at home. You need to properly read what is posted here before you jump to conclusions.

SeanORinn - I was at a few U21 matches and didn't see Lynch at any, but if he was, surely he would have seen some of the many talented freetakers on display and some of the attacking football and great scores, now, go back to last Wednesday night, our keeper was taking 30 yard frees, and Lynch set the team up defensively.

As for Jonsmith - you've as good as blamed the players for losing by saying that management weren't at fault!!!

Fredfling - try page 5 of the Fermanagh thread for my comments.

It's ok Dean, I follow your comments on your Facebook page. Although I notice you let your hair down a bit more on here under your alias.

Fredflint: I am not a great fan of Mr Lynch and I can tell you I certainly would not lie for him so you can take it from me he was at most of them and this is gospel truth.

I live outside the county but i attended the under 21 c'ship game against Tyrone, i was very disappointed with the result. Over 60 mins we hit 16 wides, we were very short on firepower up front. Prior to the start of the game it was announced that Ryan Connolly from Drumlane who was listed in the subs would be replaced in the panel. I wonder the reason for this was he injured? Over the last few years Ryan Connolly has been talked about as one of the upcoming stars in Cavan football. Now switch forward to the following Sunday after under 21 game. Ryan Connolly lines out with his club Drumlane
in the All County Football League against Crosserlough. The same player hits 3-04 in this game. Now Crosserlough would be no soft touch when it comes
to defending. If he was inj prior to under 21 game he recovered very quickly to have Big Game for his club a few days later. Its all a bit strange.

You have to ask why he was dropped then for him to come out a few day's later and score 3-04 for his club questions have to be asked for sure.

Absolutely shocking but not surprising and back to the point that our county managers at underage level (including development squads) are not selecting the best players in the county at all age breaks.

I have read back over all the posts in this valuable debate and I have not seen any comments which blamed the players as referenced by JonSmith !!!!!

I have no idea why Connolly wasn't playing but there are a number of possibilities. Your idea of Lynch deciding to remove him from the panel for no reason is ridiculous.

I think he was injured but then one has to wonder if he was able to play a game a few day's later. Anyway it's history now U21 are gone until next year best put it to bed and move on.

Connelly wasnt injured and hes a good footballer but i have the utmost respect for Niall Lynch what hes done over the last few years with Mullahoran and kingscourt has been excellent and if he left Ryan Connelly out there must of been a reason behind it. Scoring 3.4 against half a crosserlough team is different to tyrone who are all ireland champions to be fair lads. For me the big surprise wasnt connelly it was young kiernan from templeport hes got a beautiful left foot!!! but maybe lacks pace at that level
