Two games in the books.

First half of the Junior final was a hard watch but had a good exciting ending. Well done to the munchies on a hard fought win.

The intermediate final was a big step up in quality. Cuchulainns have been the best team all championship and again were overall the stronger team. Evan Doughty was very impressive- surely deserves a run with the county after his championship. I thought Ryan Tobin was also particularly impressive- very strong runner and took some very good scores. Although lots of good performances from a number of men.

The bridge relied heavily on a few super individual performances. For me Fiontan O'Reilly was the best player on the park. An absolute clinic in long range score taking, passing and dictating the pace of the bridge attack- worth the admission alone. Caoimhin O'Reilly looked sharp for a man that hasn't played much ball this year- the bridge will be hoping he sticks around for next year. Again this year probably overly reliant on these two lads for getting scores. (Must have been 15 points between them on Sunday) Also big performances from Joe Dugdale- I'm excited about this young man's potential and Cathal Leddy who won a lot of dirty ball around the middle.

The bridge were really missing the leadership and reliability of Flanagan this year in defence. Also the second year in a row with a very poor start to the big game. Something they need to look at.

Big congratulations to Cuchulainns and let's hope they can push on in Ulster.

What are out thoughts on the senior final this weekend?
