In conversation at the top corner of the Imperial ( Ought what a font of Knowledge) Bar the great Mrs T posed a real stunning question. ie what could we offer as advice to Ramie Galligan going forward. A mixture of different club people were present including a few people from small Clubs out in the Country areas . All contributed and the following advice was offered . No names is to be appended to the advice other than the great Mrs T and myself expressions of advice. No1 Remove all recording / phones from all players from Friday night onwards No2 Ensure that no player records any pre match tactical advice. No3 Alternate Kickout from short to long. No4 Let Goalie kick out Ball from opposite side every other time No5 . We have great Ball carrier's but dont go into the tackle . No 6 Dont concede Kickouts to Tyrone, man marking is very important for kickouts No7 Peter Hart is aGame changer if he gets on the Ball he has to be man marked. No 8. If possible play the big Club men as junior footballers from teams away out in the Country could get stage fright No9 Wags and Company have in other Counties been a source of Tactical leaks

1st bit of advice would be to call the manager by his proper name...
2nd bit would be to ask her when Junior players Ciaran Brady and Jason McLoughlin get stage fright?

I feel that in that back door fixture or fioxtures we should have more of the big Club men on the field. I sat that not because the are better players but because the Big Club men shine out on the big stage or are used to the big day. You take Cavan Gaels for example ... The Gaels have tasted success after success and as such are not fazed by the big occasion. Then you take the smaller JUnior Clubs or Inter club men , these poor fellows are star struck when they see big crowds So Raymie stick with the big club players

Standing in Clones ...yes I wasn't in the Stand and watching the Lads trash Monaghan was one of the most enjoyable days that I had in a long time. While Monaghan can blow hot or cold Cavan did the simple things well and and a few lucky breaks did up a power of Good. Long may Cavans progress continue
