How are you lads fixed for the Lory Meagher? Will you take home the cup from Croke Park this June?

Be hoping so anyway. Think we might even be favourites at this stage

Best of luck to them however they go. Serious effort to come back from the dead (with little thank from GAA central trying to chuck them out of the league).

Best of luck to the senior hurling team today v Longford… a win and they reach the final… Hopefully they get a decent crowd seeing it's such a nice day…

I would say Cavan got stitched up in the hurtling yesterday…. The Longford/Fermanagh game ending in a draw insured both team's qualifying for the final.. With 7/8 minutes to go Longford were 5 ahead and Cavan were 21 ahead hoping to bridge a 28pt score difference to oust Fermanagh.. Fermanagh get a quick fire 1-2 and then no score from either team in the remaining few minutes…in case Cavan bridged the gap (which they didn't) on their own… All a bit suspicious to me but hard luck to Cavan… throwing away a huge lead to Fermanagh in a previous game ultimately proved their downfall..!!

Tomsmith here

Very sad on a day after Cavan taking on the mighty County Mayo that Cavan Hurling tops the Cavan Hogan stand page

While possible I'd say its unlikely... I do feel for the Cavan hurlers though. I thought they would win the Lory Meagher.

I see Tom is fishing again. I feel sad that his comment represents a (sometimes) silent majority who would rather their county only played football rather than providing joy and an outlet for those who don't love football.

Longford have 6 starters and 2 subs from teams outside the county. Is this something you's may consider? Surely senior club players in neighbouring Meath and Westmeath would be willing to come play county hurling. North Westmeath clubs such as Castlepollard and Lough Lene Gaels would be geographically close enough to Cavan

They already have half the Cuala All Ireland winning club team from before Covid!

On a serious note, bringing players in from outside counties is not the best for long term success.
