Cavan U20's

(Oldest Posts First)

So Larry Reilly is the new manager, with a backroom team of Andy McGovern, Kevin McDonnell, Danny Brady and Declan Farrell.

Hopefully Larry and the team can bring a new brand of football to the u20s given that he was a forward in his day. In my view, this is crunch time for Cavan Football, so the decision to bring this new management team needs to be a good one as it will decide the fate of the seniors for the next few years.

Best of luck to him. His success or otherwise depends of course on whether a few usernames on here like him on a personal level

Good luck to Larry …. Hopefully he introduces a more positive type of play to the team and in 3 years has players well capable of making an impact at senior level especially a couple of decent forwards….

What he needs to do first is to get all the top players available invested in playing for the county, unlike last year where probably 2 of the top performers in the senior championship a defender and forward couldn't be enticed into the fold, it wasn't as if they were away as both turned out for their clubs in the early stages of the league.
