Drung are poor they have reached a junior final beating 3 teams in maghera kill and shannon gaels and probably wouldn't have qualified for the 1/4 finals only for they drew maghera and had a large score difference.

Can't look past Denn, they look too strong for Drung who have done well to get here but look to be overachieving. Possibly no relegation last year hurt the Championships as you need those relegated teams dropping down to increase the strength of the championships. No idea why the County Board did that by the way, there was time for relegation playoffs even with the pandemic. Denn need to win too, and I think they will, as looks to be a much stronger championship next year with Drumlane and Arva dropping down.

Drung had a very good league only losing once making a semi final and beat 4 teams in the championship munterconnaught as well, a highly rated team, do your research. On the other hand Denn are criminally overrated and Drung never lie down, Drung win.

Championships aren't won on league form. Oh sorry they beat the munchies too hardly an achievement by any stretch. They are possibly the worst team to make a championship final in my memory anyway . Denn by 10+ drungs poor backline will be exposed in breffini

Championships are also not won on keyboards. Huge congratulations to both Drung and Denn on reaching the final and giving your all in your free time to give your parishes a lift. A bit of positivity goes a long way.

I would be expecting a close first half as both teams adopted successful defensive strategies in their semi final wins with all but 3 men behind the ball when they didn't have it.

Drung have the weaker panel but a few good players at Junior level that can create a few scores that should keep them in the game, as long as their defensive screen around the shooting D can hold firm. And Denn don't have many long range shooters and will have to wait for a few gaps to open up. But I would expect those gaps to open up in the last 10-15 mins and the composure of TED, Corr, and Conor Reilly to get Denn over the line by 5-7 points.

Ballyhaise for Intermediate. The only doubts I would have is that this group have lost too many finals and semi finals they should have won previously, but they just look the much stronger team with much more business at Senior.

You must be quiet young go back to 2008 and 2009 and see who the beaten Senior Championship finalistist were as they were possibly the worst team to play in a Championship final.

Well done Pat. Just re-reading your Junior Final preview here, and it's almost like you had watched the game in advance.

I will be lamping on Ballyhaise tomorrow.

Self praise is no praise Pat.

Fair Enough, you were exactly spot on the money for the Junior Final, and in fairness you did caveat your tip with the fact that Ballyhaise are notoriously below par in finals, but it has to be said that you predicted the wrong team to win by 1/2 points, and therefore you are only a middling tipster.

The Denn men certainly seem happy with their win. Initially I thought to myself, why would a team that was senior only a few years ago be so happy with a junior championship but then I remembered a lot of these lads would never have played senior football so junior is all they know, it's no wonder they are so happy winning it.

Good point. It will be interesting to see how they get on next year in the intermediate i don't think they would be worrying anyone at the business end of it going by their form in Division 2 this year.

Explain to me how a team that made back to back county Senior finals and throughout that period beat evey team in Cavan with the exception of the Gaels, who inturn where unfortunate to lose in extra time to eventually All Ireland champions St.Galls are the worst team to make a championship final in Cavan ??

Beat every team in cavan? Even the junior and intermediate teams? That must have been some busy schedule for them
