Cavans defensive structure went after Peter Donnelly left for Tyrone at the end of 2014. They were top scorers in Division 2 in 2016.

It's just as well out current manager knows how to keep the opposition from kicking 2-15 against us then. .

We kicked 18 points against Tipp. Our attack wasn't the problem!"
If our attack wasn't the problem what was??? We scored 18pts.. Cork scored 2-20 and still lost. Wise up. Our average in the league was 1-12. Of course the attack is the problem. Forwards are not let play. Just ask any forward who's quit the panel.
And it's mostly forwards who have quit. Isn't it?

Right and the players who quit, did they somehow avoid the Terry Hyland preprogramming you talked about earlier, became frustrated with their fellow players who were incapable of playing the free flowing attacking football Mattie asked them to (due to same pre programming). So these players quit. Of course what I just wrote is ridiculous but it's a summary of your main points. In fact the only constant point you make is it's all Terry's fault. However, it's funny that Argue and Jack Brady never left Terry's panel.

But tierney, Barry Reilly ,givney , keating, Dunnie, Declan and Kevin Meehan, cullivan , packie leddy , maloney -Derham , Hessin and many more did leave while TH was in charge.
And every one was asked back and wouldn't come back.

More half truths. Givney and Keating were asked back last yr for example, came back unless I'm a imagining things and then didn't commit this year when Terry was long gone. Barry Reilly we all know has work commitments. I don't know about others but I do recall Ray Cullivan previously leaving a panel 1 week before the ulster championship one year so maybe there are other issues there?

Have you asked the above why they left it might not be a bad idea. Also in the championship you might pay particular interest in one of the above and watch his attitude towards his club you will then ask yourself why he was even on the county panel. I am going to be honest here and maybe someone might pick up on it. Time to talk to players individually and see what they want or expect from their county. This might be a step in the right direction.
I hope after the championship that the new management will bring in around 60 to 80 players this will include current county players and people whom you say walked. Get them for a month and each and everyone will be fighting to get on the county panel by ability and not by name or background. Time to open the door to all possibilities. We have had some wonderful players walk away from the panel prior to the new managers arrival you know this is true. I don't like the McKenna cup but no county player that is there a few years should think he is above playing in this competition.
There are lot's of things that need mending and I hope a start has been made all ready.

Well he's gone a year and you're still banging on about him Martin, so maybe giving him another 5 is the only way you can stay relevant!
