Leinster Council has rubberstamped a decision to reduce adult stand ticket price from €25 to €15 for its provincial senior football championship first round games.

The decision was approved by Central Council last night after having been on the cards for some time.

It will see stand admission to next month’s games between Wexford and Laois at Chadwicks Wexford Park (April 5th), Meath and Carlow at Pairc Tailteann and Longford and Wicklow at Glennon Brothers Park (both April 6th) reduced by €10 compared to last year.

RTE Sport reports that the Leinster SFC quarter-finals on the following weekend could see tickets being a similar price, however no decision on that has been taken yet.
