Aussie Rules star and Laois native Zach Tuohy will receive an official homecoming tomorrow (Thursday) from his club Portlaoise.
Tuohy tasted Premiership glory last month after Geelong Cats cruised to victory over Sydney Swans in the AFL Grand Final - a triumph which saw Tuohy and Mark O'Connor joining Tadhg Kennelly as the only Irishmen to win an AFL Premiership.
As he returns home from Down Under, a family friendly homecoming event has been organised for Tuohy in Lily’s Bar & Kitchen in Portlaoise from 6pm tomorrow evening.
The 32-year-old, who had been playing in the AFL since 2011, is expected to sign another contract with the Cats which is set to take him into a 13 year in the AFL.
