Two-time All-Ireland minor football championship winner Mark O’Connor has been granted permission from his AFL club to play for Dingle in Saturday week’s Kerry SFC quarter-final against Dr Crokes.
Along with Portlaoise’s Zach Tuohy, O’Connor helped Geelong to the AFL Premiership title last week as the Cats claimed victory of Sydney Swans in the Grand Final.
The42.ie reports that O’Connor will now be permitted to play for Dingle against Dr Crokes after he arrived home later this week.
The last eight clash at Austin Stack Park is a repeat of the Kingdom’s 2018 senior county final which saw Crokes collecting their 13th title on a 1-15 to 0-12 score-line.
