Four Roads and St Dominic's for Roscommon SHC final

Five-in-a-row chasing Four Roads will face St Dominic’s in the Roscommon SHC final on October 11 after they came through their respective semi-finals against Oran and Tremane yesterday.

A late Conor Morris free handed Four Roads a dramatic 2-18 to 1-20 victory over Oran in the first part of the Ballyforan double-header. Goals from Adam Donnelly and Liam Óg Coyle had helped the Mickey Cunniffe Cup holders to a 2-11 to 1-8 interval lead before Oran fought back in the second half. However, Morris had the final after Cormac Mulry was fouled in the fifth-minute of stoppage-time.

St Dominic’s set up a repeat of the 2024 decider when a strong finish saw them trump Tremane on a 3-14 to 0-15 scoreline. The sides were tied on 1-4 to 0-7 at the break and they were still level at the end of the third quarter. But the Knockcroghery men then found another gear to pull away thanks to two goals in three minutes from Jack Lohan and Mickey Joe Egan.
