All-Ireland-winning boss Moran comes to Ballaghaderreen's rescue

Andy Moran rolled back the years as he came off the bench to help Ballaghaderreen avoid relegation from the Mayo senior football championship this afternoon.

Trailing Balla by five points, Ballaghaderreen turned to their All-Ireland-winning manager after the break, and Moran made an immediate impact with two scores.

He was also involved in the game's crucial moment, taking a quick free that led to Conor Moriarty finding the net and putting Ballaghaderreen ahead.

They held on to win 1-13 to 0-14 which secures their senior status for 2027.
