
Moyle Rovers are through to the knock-out stages of the Tipperary senior football championship after seeing off Upperchurch-Drombane by 2-10 to 0-8 in Golden yesterday.
Rovers led by 2-7 to 0-3 at half-time and saw out the win in the second-half to join Clonmel Commercials in the knock-out phase of the Philly Ryan Cup race after the holders defeated Ballina on Saturday.

It finished 1-20 to 0-11 at Páirc Ciocaim Dundrum, where Sean O’Connor’s goal was the difference between the sides at half-time, and the second-half would see O’Connor, Peter McGarry and Cian Smith sending over score to secure a comfortable win for Commercials.
Elsewhere, Loughmore-Castleiney cruised to a 1-18 to 0-8 win over Grangemockler-Ballyneale, Kilsheelan-Kilcash were 2-16 to 1-11 winners over Thurles Sarsfields and Ardfinnen saw off Aherlow by 2-13 to 0-14.
