Cork defender Méabh Cahalane hopes that the Rebels’ mix of youth and experience can give them the edge over Galway on Sunday.

For the third year in-a-row, the Munster giants meet the Tribeswomen in the All-Ireland senior camogie championship final at Croke Park, where Ger Manley’s side will be looking to avenge last year’s one-point defeat in the O’Duffy Cup decider.

Speaking to RTE Sport this week, Cahalane says she expects Sunday’s showdown in the capital to go down to the wire again.

"There's been a huge turnover of players, we've lost some key players on the panel with huge experience, many players that we would have looked up to growing up, so there's been quite a turnover.

"The under-23s winning this year has brought energy and confidence to the group, and it was just great for that group of girls, so hopefully we can keep that winning feeling going and get another win on Sunday.

"We've always had leaders in our dressing room, Amy O'Connor, Amy Lee, Libby Carpenter, Laura Hayes, Aisling Thompson, they've been there for so many years.

"Two players that have come into the team this year that have been training with us are Ava Fitzgerald and Millie Condon, and they've had some huge performances for us this year, so hopefully they can settle early in the game on Sunday and just show what they're capable of.

"Whenever Cork and Galway meet in any game, whether it's a final or a championship game, it's always a huge battle, and it always goes down to the wire."
