Offaly GAA has confirmed that joint senior football managers Declan Kelly and Mickey Harte have stepped down from their roles.

The decision was announced by the county board, with Offaly stating that Kelly had informed officials of his intention to step down and that Harte subsequently decided it was also the right time for him to move on.

In a statement, Offaly GAA thanked both managers for their contribution to the county's senior footballers, along with head coach Luke Bree and the entire management and backroom team.

"The County Board would like to express its sincere thanks to Declan, Mickey, Head Coach Luke Bree, and the entire management and backroom team for their dedication, commitment and professionalism throughout their tenure with the Offaly Senior Football team," the statement read.

Offaly GAA also wished the departing management team well for the future.

"We wish Declan, Mickey, Luke and all of the management and backroom team every success and happiness in the future," the county board added.

The process to appoint a new senior football management team is expected to begin in the coming weeks as Offaly GAA turns its attention to preparations for the 2027 season.
