The GAA has confirmed that Cork referee Colm Lyons will take charge of the All-Ireland SHC final between Galway and Limerick.
It will be the second time the Nemo Rangers clubman has refereed the Liam MacCarthy Cup decider, having previously officiated the 2022 final between Limerick and Kilkenny.
Lyons brings a wealth of experience to the role. Since making his Liam MacCarthy Championship debut in 2012, he has refereed 38 senior championship matches and the 2026 final will be his 39th.
His impressive refereeing CV also includes the 2012 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Final, the 2017 National Hurling League Final, the 2017 Leinster Senior Hurling Final, the 2024 Munster Senior Hurling Final and the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Finals in 2018 and 2020.
During this year's championship, Lyons has overseen Limerick's Munster Championship clash with Tipperary, as well as Galway's Leinster Championship victories over Dublin and Kilkenny.
Joining Lyons on the officiating team will be score umpires Ciarán Hanley (Brian Dillons), Jim McEvoy (Blarney), and Philip Mackey and Finian Mullane, both of Nemo Rangers.
On the line will be Wexford's James Owens and Dublin's Chris Mooney, with Owens also serving as standby referee. Clare's Niall Malone has been appointed sideline official, while Tipperary's David Grogan will oversee the Hawk-Eye system.
