Former Cork defender Eoin Cadogan says the depth of Kerry’s squad makes for “grim viewing” for the remaining teams in the Sam Maguire Cup race.

The All-Ireland champions brushed Armagh aside last weekend and now get set to face Tyrone on Saturday at Croke Park as 1/4 favourites (PaddyPower) to return to the semi-final stage where they saw off the Red Hands on a 1-20 to 0-17 scoreline last year.

For Cadogan, the quality in their pack sees the Kingdom as clear favourites to go all the way again this summer.

"Based on what I've seen against Armagh last weekend, I think Kerry are the front-runners," the Rebels ex-dual star is quoted saying by BelfastLive.co.uk.

"When you look and see four All-Stars on your bench - Seán O'Shea, Tom O'Sullivan, Joe O'Connor just coming back from injury and an All-Star goalkeeper sitting there as well - it does make for grim viewing for everyone else."

He added: "I suppose this weekend is a moving weekend in terms of can we see Galway put on a big performance and get all their main guys on the field. Who's going to be at the latter stages? I would expect Kerry to be in the All-Ireland final and I expect them to win it. Keep the pressure on them."
