Dublin have been handed a boost ahead of their All-Ireland SFC Round 1 clash against Louth this weekend with the news that ace attacker Con O’Callaghan has returned to their starting 15.
The Cuala clubman has not featured for the Dubs since injuring his hamstring in the Leinster quarter-final victory over Wicklow six weeks ago, missing out on the semi-final win against Louth and the final defeat to Westmeath.
The six-time All-Ireland winner comes in as one of two changes for manager Ger Brennan, with Greg McEneaney the other player set to lineout in the capital men’s defence.
Theo Clancy and Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne are the players to make way, as Ciaran Kilkenny moves to centre-field and O’Callaghan starts on ‘the 40’.
Throw-in at Croke Park on Sunday is at 2.30pm.
