Louth star Eoghan Callaghan is set miss the rest of the inter-county season after suffering an ACL injury.
The Naomh Mairtin Joe Ward Cup-winning captain sustained the injury in the early stages of the Wee County's Allianz Football League Division 2 Round 7 victory over Kildare last Sunday week.
"All in Louth GAA are thinking of senior footballer Eoghan Callaghan and sending him our very best wishes for a speedy and full recovery," a county board statement read.
"Eoghan sustained a season-ending injury in last weekend’s game against Kildare. It’s a tough setback, but he’s not facing it alone — the entire Louth GAA community has his back every step of the way.
"Eoghan has given so much on and off the pitch, and we’ve no doubt he’ll come back stronger than ever."
