Antrim attacker Seaan Elliott is hopeful that last weekend’s win over Carlow can now spur the Saffrons on for this season.

Davy Fitzgerald’s side got the first win of their Allianz Hurling League Division 1B campaign on Sunday by seeing off their Leinster counterparts on a comprehensive 0-25 to 0-12 scoreline at Corrigan Park.

Next up for the Glensmen is a date with Dublin this Sunday at the same west Belfast venue where Elliott is hopeful that they can make it two wins on the bounce.

"We've been grinding out results over the last few years when we needed them and that shows the character of the lads, so hopefully that spurs us on," he is quoted saying by BBC Sport NI.

"I don't see why not (we can't stay up). That was a big result to keep us in the mix.

"Next week will be another test as Dublin's a good side, but we'll focus on them and see what happens after that."
