Six-time All-Ireland winner Con O’Callaghan has been named Dublin’s senior football captain for the second year-in-a-row.
The Cuala clubman scored 0-8 during the Dubs’ first win of the Allianz League campaign against Monaghan last Saturday night and manager Ger Brennan has confirmed that he will lead the team again for the rest of the 2026 campaign.
Last year saw O’Callaghan confirmed as captain ahead of the capital men’s championship campaign, taking over from James McCarthy in the role.
Now, he’s set to lead his county again for the rest of the season, with Na Fianna’s Eoin Murchan taking on the team’s vice-captain role.
