This evening (Friday) sees the Fitzgibbon Cup final up for grabs when Mary Immaculate College take on holders University of Limerick at Croke Park.
UL have a star-studded line-up which includes Tipperary star Darragh McCarthy and Offaly ace Adam Screeney to name a few and will be looking to make it a week to remember with their footballers having recorded a maiden Sigerson Cup triumph on Wednesday night with victory over UCC.
The defending champions are bidding for their college’s 10th Fitzgibbon Cup success this evening, while Mary I are looking for their second title in three years and fourth overall.
The all-Limerick decider in Croker sees UL as colossal 1/9 favourites (PaddyPower), with Jamie Wall’s side, for whom Shane O’Brien and Oisin O'Farrell have impressed for thus far, looking to tear up the script after having saw off Dublin pair UCD and DCU in the knock-out stages to get here.
Throw-in at GAA headquarters is at 7.35pm and the game will be televised live on TG4.
