Goals from Colm Basquel and Alex Gavin helped the Dublin champions to keep things to script at Chadwicks Wexford Park and they’ll now face Tullamore in the semi-finals in two weeks' time after the Offaly champions came away from Mullingar with a 3-13 to 4-8 victory over The Downs.
Tullamore were 0-8 to 1-2 in front when Harry Plunkett hammered in their goal on the eve of half-time and they’d net again 10 minutes into the second-half via Niall Furlong to move 10 ahead.
Cillian Bourke and Jonathan Lynam traded goals in the closing 10 minutes, with Charlie Drumm bagging another in the 58th minute but Tullamore were able to see out the win and earn their place in the last four.

The other semi-final is set to see Portarlington taking on Athy after the Laois champions scored a 0-14 to 1-8 win against Naomh Mairtin in Drogheda.
The Laois champions held a 0-9 to 0-4 lead at half-time and, despite conceding an unanswered 1-2 early in the restart, including a Tom Gray goal, the visitors got scores from Darragh Galvin (2) and Darragh Slevin (two-pointer) to get over the line towards their semi-final date with Athy.
Yesterday evening’s clash in Newbridge saw the Kildare champions dominate in the second-half to earn a 1-16 to 0-9 victory over Meath’s Summerhill.
