All-Ireland champions Cuala crashed out of the Dublin senior football championship this afternoon after being dealt a 3-21 to 2-22 defeat by Ballyboden St Enda’s at Parnell Park.
Having trailed by seven points with six minutes remaining, ‘Boden hit an unanswered 2-3 to produce their stunning comeback and send the Dublin, Leinster and All-Ireland champions packing.
Conor O’Brien’s goal helped Cuala to hold a 1-14 to 0-11 advantage at the halfway stage and Con O’Callaghan would add another for them to cancel out Colm Basquel’s green flag in the 40th minute.
In firm control, the Dalkey men looked to be headed back to the county decider until Daire Sweeney hit their net with a brilliant finish and the same player would repeat the trick late on to ensure that script was shredded as Cuala’s reign as All-Ireland champions came to an end.

The earlier SFC semi-final in the capital saw Na Fianna edging out 2023 champions Kilmacud Crokes by 3-11 to 1-16 for their first county final berth in three years.
Tom Gray’s side snatched victory at the death through their skipper James Doran who sailed over to ensure there’d be no extra time at Parnell Park.
David Quinn (penalty) and substitute Darragh Kennedy had netted early for Na Fianna, but it was Crokes that held a 1-11 to 2-3 lead at half-time after Galway star Shane Walsh netted their goal five minutes before the break.
Quinn blasted in his second goal during the game’s third quarter and Gray’s men would eventually get things level through a brace of Conor McHugh points before Doran landed what proved to be the winner in injury-time.
