Kelly and Keyes scoop Laois awards

St Joseph’s James Kelly and Tomás Keyes of Camross are the Laois Senior Footballer and Senior Hurler of the Year respectively.

Kelly starred at wing back after helping St Joseph’s to their first SFC title in 23 years, while Keyes scored 3-6 in Camross’ SHC final victory over Abbeyleix. The inter-county player awards went to Mark Timmons (football) and Stephen ‘Picky’ Maher (hurling).

The Ladies Senior Footballer of the Year is Fiona Dooley from Portlaoise, while Sarah Ann Fitzgerald of Camross picked the intermediate camogie award.

The awards will be presented a ceremony in the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise on Friday week, November 24.
