The Cork ladies have suffered another retirement blow with the news that Orlagh Farmer has decided to call it a day after 13 years.
The Midleton forward's retirement severs another link with the Cork team that won a six-in-a-row of All-Ireland titles between 2011 and '16. Her departure comes just a few days after fellow six-time All-Ireland winner Orla Finn announced her inter-county retirement.
"Memories & friendships that’ll last a lifetime! Thanks to everyone who made it worthwhile!" Farmer said in a social media post.
Cork opened their Lidl Ladies Football Division 1 League campaign with a 2-11 to 0-12 victory over Mayo yesterday.
