Eire Og on course to complete historic Clare SFC and SHC double

Following their hard-fought 0-11 to 0-5 win against St Breckan's, Lisdoonvarna at Cusack Park yesterday, Eire Og Ennis are still on course to complete an historic Clare SFC and SHC double.

Clare star Gavin Cooney (0-5) and full-forward line colleague Mark McInerney (0-3) contributed eight points between as the town outfit secured their place in the county football final for the first time since 2014 with next weekend's hurling last-four clash to come against Inagh-Kilnamona.

Eire Og had one foot in the decider when they led the 2019 intermediate champions by 0-8 to 0-3 at half-time.

St Breckan's, who defeated Miltown-Malbay 3-11 to 0-12 in the quarter-final, went 15 minutes without scoring in the second-half.

The winners will face either holders Kilmurry-Ibrickane or Lissycasey in the Jack Daly Cup showpiece in two weeks' time.
