Powered by goals in either half from Cathal Corrigan and substitute Ruairi Canavan, Errigal Ciaran advanced to the Tyrone SFC semi-finals with a well deserved 2-9 to 0-7 victory over Loughmacrory St Teresa's at Carrickmore yesterday.

Despite having to wait until the 20th minute for their opening score through All-Ireland winner Darragh Canavan as the first time senior quarter-finalists opened up a 0-0 to 0-2 lead, Corrigan's major had Errigal two up before points from Cathal Donaghy and Antoin Fox left the sides tied at 1-2 to 0-5 at the break.

It was the introduction of Ruairi Canavan that swung the game in the Dunmoyle side's favour, with the half-time substitute helping himself to 1-2 from play, including an extraordinary chipped goal from 40 yards out five minutes after the restart.

They will be joined in the last four by Trillick St Macartan's, who recorded an impressive 3-14 to 1-6 win against St Mary's, Killyclogher at Healy Park on Friday night, with Dromore St Dympna's facing Eglish St Patrick's (Pomeroy, 1pm) and Coalisland Na Fianna meeting Carrickmore St Colmcille's (Galbally, 3.30pm) in the remaining quarter-finals today.
