Wexford assured themselves a shot at promotion from Division 4 of the Allianz Football next weekend after crushing Tipperary with a 14-point victory this afternoon.
It finished 4-10 to 0-8 at Fethard Town Park, where Sean Nolan and Mark Rossiter bagged a pair of goals each to help send the Slaneysiders towards their fourth win of the campaign.
Both of Nolan’s goal came inside the opening 22 minutes and Rossiter’s first moved the Model men towards a 3-6 to 0-5 half-time lead.
Rossiter had his second major within five minutes of the restart to kill off any chance for Tipp whose hopes of league promotion will have to wait another year at least.
