Seven years after calling time on his inter-county career, former Wexford footballer Mattie Forde is still terrorising defenders at club level.

Forde may have brought and an end to a 13-year inter-county career in 2011, but he has continued to line out for his club Killanerin in the Wexford senior football championship.

And last weekend, the former All-Star hit an impressive 2-03 to help his side defeat St Martin's by 2-11 to 0-09 in the fourth round of the SFC.

The 38-year-old has been a huge influence for his club since his inter-county retirement having helped guide the side to intermediate glory last year.

Now, they have reached the knockout stages of the SFC and continue a trend of sides doing very well having won the second tier championship the previous year.
