St Josephs club notes
July 13, 2020The club has resumed full activity with games coming on stream for all grades over the coming weeks. On Wednesday 8 July, our Mens Senior team played Ballinagar Co Offaly in a challenge game which was our first since the lockdown. A very wet evening in Ballinagar left conditions tricky but credit to both sides who played entertaining football where the hosts edged us out by 5-12 to 4-13. The Ladies Senior team played two challenges during the week losing narrowly to Athlone by 5-10 to 2-18 and defeating Clara by 9-18 to 5-14. Great to see our teams getting match time after a long absence from the playing fields. All Underage teams are now back in full training with matches commencing on 19th July with our Under 15’s playing Tyrrellspass and the Under 17’s and Under 13’s having games against Inny Shamrocks and Millmore Gaels the following week.
Our Mens senior team play Castledaly in the league at home on Tuesday 21st July and our first Round Junior Championship game V Milltown is on Sunday 2nd August in Milltown with the game due for a 1pm throw in. Busy times ahead!
