Keep them busy

If you are running out of ideas of how to keep the kids busy as the summer holidays started early, don’t forget to put a hurl in their hands and get them in front of a wall with a wall ball. There are numerous challenges and exercises online to try out and will help to keep sharp. One of the greats of the game, T.J. Reid will be holding a free P.E. class every Tuesday and Thursday at 12 noon using Facebook live! Combining basic GAA skills with basic exercises to keep your kids fit & sharp while at home from school while improving their skills This is suitable for kids of all ages. Equipment needed: Hurl, sliotar or tennis ball, and football / soccer ball. Westmeath GAA are also putting drills up online so your kids have no excuse not to keep hurling and footballing until the training resumes.
