Lilliput Gaels A.G.M.
The AGM took place on Friday 10th of January in front of a good attendance. Chairman, Ray Gavigan, gave a detailed account of what was a hugely successful year for the club both on and off the field. Treasurer, Paul O'Neill, presented an excellent report on finance and we enter 2020 on a solid footing financially. There are some new faces on the committee for 2020 with Majella Rigney taking over as Secretary and Ethel Wallace as Child Welfare Officer.
St. Malachys - The Story So Far
We recently launched our DVD which was expertly put together over the past five years by Olly Gallagher and includes several interviews with past and present members, Scor participants from down the years, the entire 1981 SFC win and the 1991 Under 12 final win over Rosemount as well as much more. The double DVD is great value at €20 for over four hours of entertainment and can be ordered by phoning 0871508389 or 0868271179 or from any committee member and would be an ideal gift for any supporters or family members who have left our community.
Membership
Membership is now due for 2020 and can be given to either John Cassidy or Pat Garvin. The players reps are Conor Kane and David Lynch who will collect from the players. It costs just €20 for adult members and €10 for students which is more than reasonable and with the added incentive of all paid up members being entered for our club's allocation of All Ireland tickets.
Lotto
The winning numbers for this week were: 5, 10, 17 and 18. The winner of the 3 numbers was Jamie Keenan, while Maree Baker won the promotors prize. Next week’s draw is €2400 in Brennans. Don’t forget you can play online on smartlotto.ie and search Castletown Geoghegan Lotto. Thanks to all who continually support our lotto. It is much appreciated.
Sympathies
The club send their deepest sympathies to Anne Hannon and family, Woodside, and the Flood family Ballinagore on the death of Julia Flood recently. May she rest in peace.
