Moate All Whites Notes

Street League

Saturday 12th October marked the season ending for the U6, U8 and U10 Moate All Whites panels.

In glorious sunshine, 112 players graced the turf of Hogan Park for the Street League Finals 2019.

First up were our under 6's who played two games side by side. From the dark nights in February in the community Hall to yesterday it really shows the progression that these players have made.

Following that was our first combined U8/U10 final, Westmeath v Mayo. Some great football played with Westmeath, captained by Aaron Claffey winning out.

Our third match was a mix of the older U6 and younger U8's. Some good skills were displayed by these young players.

Finally our last match was the much awaited final between Dublin and Kerry. Kerry had the upper  hand in match day two but this time Dublin, captained by Chloe Malone, proved too strong and won on a scoreline of 16 pts to 10pts.

Presentation of the medals and goodie bags by Moate All Whites Minor Board Chairman Kenny O’Brien and Chairman Niall Cunningham then took place in the stand.

The street league finals is a great season ending tournament for the players, families and coaches. For the first time we had a coach who has played in these finals and now has their own children playing yesterday

.

Thank you to our sponsors Gillivans Butchers (Moate Meats) for their continued support.

On behalf of all the coaches of U6, U8 and U10's we thank you for another great football year.

The futures bright the futures white.
