Tir Conaill Harps Glasgow

April 15, 2019

Moving home is supposed to be one of the most stressful experiences of your life but that was definitely not the case for Tir Conaill Harps Glasgow on Saturday when they over powered Dalriada 5-22 to 1-04.

This was the first time the sides have meet since last year's Championship Semi final when Dalriada  pulled ahead in extra time.

Tir Conaill Harps came flying out of the blocks and didn't seem to slow down.

Even after losing James Carroll who was outstanding in midfield, they never lost any momentum.

TCH scored five early points with last year's player of the year Dan Gallagher  proving to be a massive influence again this season, taking three of these early points.

What followed was a great piece of link up play that finished with a goal from the returning Patrick Brady who had run from the full back line.

Kieran Turner then finished off a wonderful team goal when he poped up in the box to knock it in.

After this David  boucher had a wonderful period of the game getting 1-4 before half time.

The first half showed a vast improvement on last season especially with breaking balls and 50/50 challenges and this continued into the second half.

It was more of the same in the second half with exceptional scores coming from Kenny Corcoran and  Derry O’Connor as the TCH pass and move game plan was taking effect.

The boys at the back were outstanding with Jonny Poland winning every 50/50 ball and Joe Blair and Alan Grey even popping up in the second half to take a few well taken points.

A home crowd of 80 odd would definitely be happy with the progress of the new Management team and will hope the lads carry on with the hard work to bring days like this to Cambuslang on a regular basis.
