The senior and reserve team juggernaut rolled on as both teams kept their 100% records with wins against Glenelly.

The reserves got the ball rolling and early points from Niall Hamill and Mark Monaghan put them on the front foot. Glenelly responded well and went ahead for much of the first half until a well work wonder goal from Ciaran O’Neill put the hoops back in front. Killeeshill tagged on points from Connor O’Neill and Peter Scullion to lead by 3 at half time.

Glenelly to their credit came again and were back level midway through the 2nd half then came the turning point when a speculative Mark Monaghan shot found its way into the Glenelly net. Rory McCann as per usual claimed he got a touch but after consulting with the umpires it was agreed the ball went straight in and Rory remained scoreless for the 2nd game running. The Killeeshill defence of Cormac Skeffington, Tiernan Kelly and Martin Hamill had now got on top and they moved into a 5 point lead with scores from Hamill and Niall Loughran. Glenelly hit the last score of the day, a great goal to leave 2 between the sides but the Hoops held on for a deserved victory. Final score Killeeshill 2-14 Glenelly 2-12

The senior game followed a similar ebb and flow but Killeeshill always looked in control and were capable of moving up a gear when they needed to. They made a blistering start with Tomas Hoy and Jason Doyle registering points in the 1st minute but Glenelly responded with a goal to take the lead. The Hoops then hit a purple patch and hit 6 unanswered points with Pascal Donaghy and Jason Doyle proving themselves to be a handful in the forward line and Darragh Hamil having his usual outstanding performance in defence Killeeshill were comfortably at the break.

Killeeshill started the 2nd half well and some lovely scores from Donaghy, Doyle and Conall Monaghan put them well in control. The referee then sent off Tomas Hoy for an innocuous incident, and moments later Glenelly goaled to bring themselves back into contention. Conall Monaghan then received his marching orders for a second bookable offence and it looked like Glenelly could snatch a victory against the 13 men of Killeeshill. John McMullan and Matthew McCusker came up with some big turnovers at this crucial time and skipper Bernard O’Neill drove forward to nudge his team further ahead. Daniel Millar brought the curtain down on a hard fought victory with two lovely points from play that his tireless work rate deserved over the course of proceedings. Another valuable 2 points for the Hoops and the unbeaten record still intact, Final score: Killeeshill 0-17 Glenelly 2-8.

No Senior fixture this weekend.

Our senior Ladies hosted St Macartans on Friday night past. The home side showed great grit and determination throughout the game and this ensured a very entertaining affair. Killeeshil had some fantastic scores from Zoe Loughran and Grainne Rafferty but St Macartans led at half time 1:06 to 1:02. Killeeshil showed more of a bite in the second half with Zoe Loughran finding the net for the second time and Grainne Rafferty adding a few great points. Cathy Donaghy had some excellent saves and the Killeeshil defence showed no mercy and continued to overturn St Macartans attacks throughout the game. What a fantastic game it turned out to be with the game ending on a final score line of Killeeshil 2:09 to 1:12.

With no time to put their feet up the Ladies made there way to Dungannon on Monday evening for their 3rd outing of the league. In the first half Killeeshil were a little bit nervy but with Ciara Donnelly scoring two fantastic points the girls nerves lifted. With the new water break rule it gave the girls a chance to talk tactics and regroup and at half time, the score board read, Killeeshil 0.02 Aodh Ruadh 0:09. The second half of the game was                 completely different with Bronagh McKenna scoring two great points and Zoe Loughran finding the back of the net. Grainne Rafferty and Louise Kelly also added vital scores. Once again our defence was on top form along with our goal keeper Cathy Donaghy but unfortunately it just wasn’t meant be with Aodh Ruadh defeating Killeeshil. Final score 1:08 to 1:13. Please join our girls on Thursday night for their final game of the league against Donaghmore at 7:30 at home.

The Minor boys hosted Pomeroy at home last Thursday evening coming away with a 4-12 to 3-08 victory in a very entertaining game. With Conor McCool to the fore scoring 2-01 in the 1st half the lads produced some good passages of play against a determined Pomeroy outfit to go in level at the break.

The lads upped it a notch in the 2nd half driven on by great work from half back Eoin Millar and some tenacious defending fron Niall Holland. Some great scores were taken notably a well taken Eoin Neill goal and an excellent fisted goal by midfielder Paul O'Neill giving the lads a bit of a lead which they held on to until the finish. The last score of the night proved to be the best where Eoin McGlinchey won the ball in the full backline and proceeded to 1-2 with Michael Carty the length of the field with Eoin finishing the move with a fine point.

The lads travelled to Derrylaughan on Tuesday evening and although trailing by 7 points at half time, the team regrouped, knuckled down and ran away with the game with every last man giving it their all for the jersey, final score, Killeeshil 2:16 Derrylaughan 0:13.

The U16 boys travelled to Moortown on Sunday evening and made it 2 wins from 2 games on a final scoreline of 6-14 to 6-08.

The boys got out of the blocks slowly going 1-03 to no score behind after 10 minutes. Good work by Conor McCool and great finishing by corner forward Conor Traynor got the boys into the game helping them to a 5 point lead at the break on a scoreline of 4-04 to 2-05.

Moortown rocked the boys with 2 early goals at the start of the 2nd half to wipe out any advantage. In what was turning out to be a rollercoaster contest the boys steadied the ship again with some fine Daniel Rafferty points and a well taken Eoghan O'Neill goal. Midfielder Liam Traynor was winning some vital possession in the last quarter of the game providing his partner in the middle Michael Carty with the platform to score an excellent goal with a few minutes remaining. This proved enough to see the lads home by 6 points at the finish.

The next league game is away to Derrylaughan on Thursday evening, throw in 7.15pm.

The U14 lads hosted Coalisland on Saturday morning past and were unfortunately on the wrong side of a 4:08 to 8:08 scoreline, this is a plucky wee team though and fight tooth and nail for every ball and give it their all for the Hoops, next up for the lads is an away game to Moortown on Saturday morning with an 11am throw in,

The Minor girls made their way to Moortown on a damp and dismal Tuesday evening and conditions were far from perfect for a 8:15 kick off. Our girls could not find their feet in the game at all and lost out 4:14 to 1:04.
