All Star forward Cathal McShane was in attendance at Healy Park earlier today as he watched Tyrone open their Allianz Football League campaign with a win over Meath.

It is understood that the 23-year-old was in Australia last week to trial for AFL club Adelaide in the hopes of earning a contract as a Category B rookie.

A photo posted by TeamTalkmag on its Facebook page showed McShane watching on from the front row as the Red Hands went on to beat the Royals by 1-14 to 1-9.

The post from the local outlet also indicated that the Owen Roes clubman is set to meet with manager Mickey Harte this week to outline his plans for this year.
