Comhghairdeas to our Senior Camogs as they claimed the Tyrone Intermediate Championship on Friday 23rd Aug past with a had fought battle against Dungannon. A single point victory see’s the Barry’s progress on a score-line of 2-09 to 2-08 to the Quarter Final of Ulster taking on Down Champions (TBC), the game scheduled to be played Sun 15th Sept. Maith sibh also to the Minor Camogs who beat Dungannon the week before last in the championship to now face Eglish in the final date/venue/time TBC. Massive Congratulations to Katie Cushnahan who was part of the victorious Tyrone team on Sat 24th Aug past lifting the Ulster U14 Blitz Plate at the shore no less as the Barry’s hosted the event. The U6-P7 Camogie Go Games are being held in Omagh this Sat 31st Aug - see parents Whatsapp group for more info. U6-P7s train Tues 6-7pm and Sat 10-11am outside of games.

Comhghairdeas to our Minors who beat Aghayaran in the Grade 3 Championship Final on Tues 20th Aug at the Shore 4-06 to 0-11. Goals from Connor Hughes at start of each half kept the Barry’s in control and despite being a man down following a harsh decision on James McErlean the lads dug deep with big second displays from Shea Canavan and Shea McErlean and a goal from Joe Donnelly 10mins before the end followed by an Owen Cushnahan goal securing a comfortable victory! Maith sibh! The boys play Edendork in the Minor League Grade 3 Knockout Semi Final Mon 26th Aug in Killyman at 7pm– all support welcome. The Minor footballers train Wed at 6.30pm. Well done to the U16s as they took league points from both Edendork at home 4-14 to 4-12 followed by Pomeroy away on Thur 22nd Aug 7-08 to 7-06. The next game is V Aghaloo away on Thur 29th Aug at 7.45pm.

The U12.5s train Tues and Thurs at 6.30pm. U10s train Wed 6.30-7.30pm and Sat 10am outside of games. U8s train Wed 6.30-7.30pm and Fri 6.30-7.30pm outside of games. P1/P2 train Wed 6.30 -7.15pm. The Senior Footballers lost there last two games 2-11 to 2-08 to Edendork at the Shore and then to Ardboe away on Sat past 1-12 to 0-16, with the Reserves taking the points in the latter by concession. The Seniors play Carrickmore in the 1st Round of the Tyrone Senior Championship on Sat 31st Aug in Pomeroy at 6.30pm. All support welcome.

To mark the clubs 75th anniversary and 100 years of Kevin Barry’s death there are a number of events being planned throughout the next year. One idea was to have a 10 day club trip in July 20 to New York and Philadelphia where the club would play an exhibition game against the Kevin Barry’s Philadelphia Club. In order to get the ball rolling with this idea we are seeking an indication of interest for the club trip.
