Murphy is new Carlow captain

John Murphy has been confirmed as Carlow's new senior football captain for the 2018 season.
The Grange clubman replaces Darragh Foley who led by example last year as the Barrowsiders enjoyed their best championship run in 73 years.
Murphy will lead his county for the first time on Saturday week as Carlow open their FL Division 4 campaign away to London.
Meanwhile, Tinryland's Paul Broderick has been named as vice-captain.
