Thurles CBS 0-16

St John the Baptist CS, Hospital 0-11

Thurles CBS will face CBC Cork in the Harty Cup semi-final after finally getting the better of  St John the Baptist CS in today's quarter-final replay.

Two periods of extra-time couldn't separate the sides 10 days ago, but this time Thurles found an extra gear to pull away after they had been level on 0-10 each going into the final quarter. Whereas the winners had six different scorers, Hospital were over-reliant in this regard on Dylan O'Shea who accounted for 0-8 of their tally from frees.

Thurles led by 0-7 to 0-4 at the interval, and after Hospital came back to level, they responded with scores from Devon Ryan, Max Hackett, Paddy Creedon and Luke Cashin to bring the saga to an end.

Both teams finished with 14 players after Eoin Morris (Thurles) and Mark Quinlan (Hospital) were red-carded following an off-the-ball incident in the closing stages.
