Goals win games and Tom Gray’s Dublin team put four past Laois in last night’s Leinster U-20 decider in O’Connor Park.
Talented full-forward Ciaran Archer bagged a hat-trick while Kieran Kennedy also got in on the goal scoring act and, speaking to DubsTV shortly after the final whistle, Gray commented: “Delighted to have won that game tonight and very much looking forward to the All-Ireland semi-final.
“There’s no doubt the scoreline flattered us at the end. The first three goals, we got them at points in the game where Laois were putting us under a little bit of pressure but praise to the players for actually doing that at those vital times.
“We have to give them credit for that.”
