The 2017 Galway Football League Divison 1 final between Corofin and St James' was finally played yesterday having been postponed last year due to bad weather.

With both sides already through to the SFC quarter-finals, the league decider was doubled up with their Group 1 final round tie and saw Corofin emerge as 0-15 to 1-8 winners at Pearse Stadium.

The All-Ireland champions have now won four leagues titles in-a-row and are currently 32-games unbeaten (31 wins, 1 draw), a run stretching back to 2013.

Meanwhile, the draw for the SFC quarter-finals took place last evening when the group stage came to a conclusion and sees Corofin paired with Caherlistrane, St James' up against Annaghdown, Mountbellew/Moylough versus Moycullen and Milltown meeting Salthill/Knocknacarra.
