Conor Sweeney of Tipperary

Tipperary ace attacker Conor Sweeney has returned to the squad for the first time in over a year for Sunday’s Munster senior football championship quarter-final against Waterford.

The Premier men’s 2020 Munster SFC-winning captain has not featured for his county since January of last year when he suffered an ACL injury against Down in the opening round of the Allianz League.

The Ballyporeen forward is named at number 26 in Paul Kelly’s matchday squad for the showdown with the Deise men in Dungarvan.

However, Sean O’Connor, whom led Tipp’s attack during the past league campaign, is not named in the squad for this weekend.

Throw-in at Fraher Field is at 2pm.
