Brendan Cummins is looking forward to Sunday's Tipperary SFC final between Ardfinnan and Moyle Rovers.

The legendary Tipperary hurling goalkeeper and former county footballer will be cheering on his beloved Ardfinnan from the sidelines in Thurles after they shocked Loughmore-Castleiney in the semi-final.

"It's big for us. Last year I went back playing football to play in the goals when we were battling relegation for three matches," he told the Irish Daily Star.

"The year, John Evans arrived in with a view to keeping us out of relegation as much as anything else. And to say one man has had an influence on the parish that's unbelievable. It's just mad stuff what he's after doing with us.

"It's big, big stuff for us there's no doubt about that. 2005 is the last time we were in a final."
