Coolaney/Mullinabreena club notes

November 18, 2019

The club was saddened last week with the death of Paadar Gorman, Carrowmore, Lavagh.

Peadar was a trustee of Nace ODowd Park and one of the founders of the Park during the mid seventies and indeed one of the principal driving

forces in the Collaney Mullinabreena club for a long number of years. Peadar was a former Club Chairman and a dedicated, lifelong supporter of our club. We have lost a true stalwart who will be sorely missed.

We extend our sympathy to Peadars wife Kathleen, daughter Noleen, sons Seamus, Emmett and Cian , brother Padraig sisters Maeve & Maura along with all the extended family.

The club would like to extend sympathy to the family of Bridgie O Dowd who passed away last week. Bridgie had a long association with Coolaney Mullinabreena Club and our football park is named after her late husband Nace O Dowd.

There will be a medal presentation for our minor team who recently won the Minor C Championship in the Coolaney Community Centre on Saturday Nov. 30 at 8.30pm . This will be followed by a table quiz with a twist in the Happy Landing at 9.30pm in aid of the club.

The Sligo Leader Partnership currently have a Vacancy in Nace O Dowd Park as part of the Rural Social Scheme. Please contact Gerry Mullaney, RSS Supervisor , The Rock Day Centre , Ballymote
