Congrats to our boys minor footballers who claimed the 2019 league shield title on Saturday with a 2-10 to 2-3 win against Coolaney/Mullinabreena in Scarden. Captained by Jack O’Connor, the team performed very well. Well done to all the players and their management team of Des Henry and Paul Logan. The lads now prepare for their opening ‘B’championship game away to Tubbercurry/Cloonacool this Thursday evening at 7pm.
Hard luck to our club players involved with the Sligo women’s gaelic football team who were beaten by Kildare by four points last Sunday in their latest All-Ireland qualifier in Tubbercurry.
