Paul Taylor has been confirmed as the new Sligo football manager at a county board meeting tonight.
The Eastern Harps clubman, who served as a Sligo selector under Kevin Walsh, succeeds Tyrone native Cathal Corey, who stepped down after just one season in charge last month.
Taylor, who played for the Yeats County for 14 seasons and won six SFC medals with Eastern Harps, will have Joe Keane, who won an All-Ireland club SFC medal with Crossmolina in 2001, as his coach, while his selectors will be appointed in the coming weeks.
