Tourlestrane joint-manager Eamonn O’Hara has paid tribute to the younger players that have come into the squad this year.

The three-in-a-row SFC chasing side have made a number of changes to the side that won the title last year and O’Hara and Gerry McGowan have opted to give youth its opportunity in the side.

And it has paid off as they head into the quarterfinals having come through the groups stages with relative ease.

“While missing a few regulars this year, we have brought a number of young players into the squad, each of whom have found their place on the team when needed,” O’Hara told the Sligo Champion.

“Each of those players have contributed to winning the senior league earlier this year. The teams has trained diligently and tirelessly in their preparations for both league and championship.

“Hopefully we can take from that and the team remains on form and can proceed to the final stages of the championship.”
