O Gara Cup

Our King & Moffat sponsored O Gara cup team had a comprehensive 3-17 to 0-3 win over Shannon Gaels on Saturday evening last in Ballyfarnon.  Our team was Alan Glancy, Mark Connellan, Jack Sharkey, Charlie Burke, Liam Caslin, Colm Garvey, Kevin Caslin, Paul McElhone, Joe Garvey, Dermot Foley, Gary Connellan, John Gannon, Ray Caslin, Derek Connellan, Colman Earley. Subs used Dara Feely, Ollie Bourke, Cathal Carney, Oisin Boland. 

 

Junior Team

Our junior team play their next league game this Sunday at 3pm as we travel to Ballinlough to face Michael Glaveys. 

 

Underage 

Our U-12 team defeated Eire Og on Saturday morning last in the spring league semi final and we will now face Castlerea in the final. Our Masonite sponsored minor team were defeated by 1 point in the Div 2 league final on Friday evening last by St Aidans. Well done and thanks to the players and management on getting to the final and congratulations to St Aidans. Our Super Value sponsored U-16 team were defeated by Padraig Pearses in the Div 1 league semi final on Sunday. Well done to the players and management on finishing in the top 3 teams in the County. Our U-12 team are provisionally fixed to play Castlerea on this Friday evening in the spring league final, venue and time to be confirmed. Our Taylor cleaning sponsored U-14 team await a date for the Div 2 league final.  

 

Up For The Match 

On this Friday night the 25th of May Kilmore GAA will hold a special "Up for the match" in the Arch Bar, Jamestown on the eve of the Connacht Senior Championship game between Roscommon and Leitrim. We will have some brilliant guests from both sides of the water including John Newton, Fergal Reynolds, Derek Kelleher, Sean McGoldrick and many more on the night. The event will get underway at 9.30pm. There will also be a massive fireworks display at 10.30pm. Dont miss out on a great nights crack as we get ready for the big game on Saturday. 

 

Club Draws

Well done to Hughie Clyne who won our 50/50 jackpot of €527 on Sunday night last. Hughie is our first Gold member to win the 50/50 draw. Our €25 winners were as follows John & Nicola Craughwell (Yearly Ticket winner), Brian Lavin, Anthony Murray and Noel Dolan. Thanks to Clare Connellan and her team of sellers on an excellent jackpot. Next on selling duty is Mervyn Foleys team. Our 1st annual draw of 2018 took place also on Sunday night last and the winners were as follows €1,000 Martin Garvey, €400 Gary Vesey, €200 John McPartlin, €100 Alan O Shea, Entry into 50/50 draw for 12 months,  Shane McElhone. Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets and thanks to all our sellers. 

 

Other News

The club wishes Padraig Flynn and Ethel the very best of luck in the future as P Flynns shop closed for the final time on Sunday last. We also wish Roscommon the best of luck against Leitrim this Saturday evening in Carrick On Shannon.
